What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday: A Book, A Frame and Wedding Things

Here is my desk today.  It's one of those days when there doesn't seem to be any arts or crafts going on in it.  Most of my drawings are in my prayer journal and I have posted quite a lot of pages in my previous posts if you are interested.

Here is a picture frame that I plan to put a Madonna and Child painting in to give as a gift...

and here is the book I am planning to alter for Elizabeth's Altered Book Class.

Here is a fan and bag I brought to a wedding I went to last Saturday.  I was a "Ninang"or a godparent.  In the Philippines, couples always have godparents during their weddings.  We're supposed to be the ones who will pray for them and give them advice and help them to have a happy marriage.

and here is the corsage I wore that day.

Perhaps the other desks on the What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday list are more creative this week!

The title of your book is fabulous. I really like the idea of marriage godparents I am sure young couples need someone to pray for them as they start a new life together.

What a lovely idea for your Godparents to attend your wedding, afraid I hardly saw mine but I am a Godparent to my three nieces and hold that relationship very dear.

Love the fan - can we see it open please - andI also have my book ready for altering. Not sure what a 'chromo - whatsit' is in the title but it sounds very clever.

I spy all kinds of goodies on your desk! As for mine, it was so boring I'm not participating this week. Still wanted to take a peak!

The frame is beautiful. How sweet to be asked to participate in the wedding, and having such an honorable status.

Hugs,
Kay

I think big messes on desks are usually an indication that creative stuff IS going on there. We can't even seem to make a small thing without a big mess. I had a laugh at the title of the book you are going to alter--a little light reading there. I don't know that many will miss that book!

I have got to ask, have you read the book? lol, the bag, fan and corsage are so pretty and I think it's a nice tradition to have a godparent for wedded couples. Loving the frame and all the other little bits on your desk. Also I have been looking at some pages you have done in previous pages as always so beautiful and thoughtful. Happy woyww :-) Kezzy x

Hi Peggy, I enjoyed reading your post and one of the advantages of being late getting round to your desk is that I got to see your post on your Valentine trip to China ... what fabulous colourful photographs and I just love the bouquet of teddies :) Elizabeth x #114
