WOYWW: Gifts

There is a pile of small Belgian tapestries on my desk today.  A friend of mine gave them to me because they belonged to his mother and she is now gone and he said they were just stuffed into a closet.  Of course, I was delighted that he passed them on to me (even if I don't know what I'll do with them yet).  He said, "I trust your creativity."  What would you do with them?

On one side of my desk is this bible timeline which goes together with a bible study program called The Great Adventure.  Someone asked to borrow it and that's why it's there.

And did you notice that cellphone cover?  I bought a new one yesterday and of course I did not throw out the old one.  I think I can take it apart and cover it with fabric or scrapbook paper to make a new cover.

I have been busy cleaning and organizing the attic and haven't been too creative.  Good thing I draw in my prayer journal everyday...

Happy What's on Your Workdesk and Word Art Wednesday, dear blog friends!  I really appreciate your visits!  Be blessed!

Beautiful Tapestries. Will be interested to see what you do with them. They would make interesting wall hangings if tied together some way. Something similar to a quilt.

Wonderful to be reminded that God is our shield! Thank you. Lovely pieces of tapestry and cross stitch. I would probably leave them around for ages, stroking them, admiring them; then one day a great idea would happen...
Take care. God bless.

Gosh the tapestries are lovely, it would be nice to come up with something that you can gift back to your friend. Although of course, I'm completely at a loss as to the what...!

Lovely tapestries, Peggy, and whatever you eventually find to do with them, I am sure it will be beautiful. Your prayer journal pages are just gorgeous as usual, and particularly appropriate for me - I've just come home from hospital where I've been since Sun. a.m. after suffering severe chest pains - after plenty of investigations it looks as if all is well but I've suffered a spasm in the blood vessels around my heart. Full details on my blog. As a result, I haven't done much in my ARTHaven, but I did manage to finish a sparkly card, and was working on the videos when the pain struck. I look forward to getting back to those and uploading them to Youtube at last.

I always "intend" to do something with vintage textiles but, so far they are kind of like the way I used to feel about old tattered books it took me forever and a half to remove a page from a real book... so, I think I would pack them away and look at them every so often and think about them for a long time before I "did" something with them.

are they big enough to become a book cover? just a thought, ~Stacy #70
