WOYWW: United Nations

My hubby, who is president of the Philippine Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons just finished the convention they planned for a year and he came home with some gifts from some of the speakers they invited.  Of course, he knew that I would be interested in the wrapping paper...

as well as the lovely souvenirs from Thailand, Japan and Korea...

And because for us, Catholics, it is the start of the Lenten season today, my prayer is that this time of prayer, fasting and almsgiving will draw me closer to God that I may be able to hear him and obey him more and more.

Sharing with my blog friends in What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday and Word Art Wednesday.  Have a blessed week!

How lucky to have such a famous hubby. I had NO idea. I learn SO much each time I visit. Your wrapping paper is awesome, and the gifts are divine.

I know several WOYWWers are celebrating lent. So you, my dear, are in good company. Thanks for visiting before I could get here. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Sweet hubby. Lovely when they take note and deliver - DH brought me some fab napkins from Tokyo, with wood block prints of sushi on them and never fails to return with similar wherever he goes. We clearly have them well-trained LOL!

Yes, we did the pancakes last night but that is as far as it goes for us. Your faith is clearly strong and is much admired.

back online but slow :(

Beautiful scriptural art, Peggy. And what a wonderful bunch of gifts you got from the convention! I save all sorts of wrapping paper to reuse too.

Beautiful wrapping papers there, one understanding husband.
I have been absent these past weeks as I have had family passing, so I have only now read of your Mother's passing. I am sorry for you all, but celebrate that your Mother now wears the White Robes in the presence of her King.

Wonderful desk space and lovely illustration. So touching. Say...is that a giraffe on your little yellow cup on your desk? :D

Your hubby must be a wonderful man, Peggy - I can just imagine all the people whom he has helped, and all the transformed lives! What lovely gifts, and beautiful papers, too, and how great that your hubby always has your art in his mind, and didn't simply throw the papers away! A very interesting post.

Many thanks for your visit, and I'm glad you liked the card I made. I think the new Stampin' Up stuff I've got has real potential and I'm looking forward to experimenting some more.

Happy very belated WOYWW.

I also would like the wrapping paper and would immediately start planning projects around it. The scripture on the cards reminds me of "For You are my God". Again, thank you for sharing this with us at WAW. Blessings
