WOYWW: Building Toys

I have a different "desk" to show you today for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday!  I am working in our porch, packing building toys that we've just cleaned.  There was a fire in a friend's home (fortunately, the fire was controlled before it damaged the whole house) and these building toys were full of soot.  Since our friends had a lot of cleaning up to do, we all volunteered to help out.  See my assistant, Truffles?  She always wants to be in the middle of whatever is happening.

While I was taking my WOYWW picture, I noticed my daughter's old rocking horse and I thought I would post it to show to Elizabeth, the Altered Book Lover who has a wonderful collection of rocking horses!

This is the view of our garden from my "workdesk" today.  My sister Patsy and I (and our families) share this little garden.

And for Word Art Wednesday, a reminder for me to share whatever I have, and God will do the rest. Even just washing building toys can help lift the spirits!

Thank you for dropping by and visiting me today.  I really appreciate it!  Be blessed!

Your WOYWW post is going to Patsy's blog today, but I am persistent and found you anyway. And yes, I adore that rocking horse. It is like nothing I have. It is awesome. I love the aged wood and the paint.

Love your garden, too. So nice to see where you two sisters live. It's nice that you can share this space. Happy WOYWW from #2.

Oh what a lovely change of view - your garden is sweet, would love a big porch to play on, I must say! A trouble shared is halved and the fire clean up is just the sort of thing that a gal needs help with - it can be so hard. I have first hand experience and would be helping out in a jif if I could.

Sorry I didn't get to visit last week but life just got in the way....Just not enough hours in the day to do all I 'need to do' let alone 'want to do'. How lovely that you have stepped in to help cleaning up after the fire and what a pretty garden you've got.
Hugs,

Well, hello to Truffles the assistant. Your garden is so beautiful, private and green. How fun! It is good that you could help out your friend by washing up some. Fire is so devastating, what it doesn't burn it covers in ash and smoke. It's good to hear that it got under control quickly.

Your are such a good friend to help with the cleaning and that the fire didn't destroy everything! And I love that rocking horse. Truffles looks almost aloof from the toys, lots of attitude in that face! Love your garden and your Word Art Wednesday. Such a great reminder of Christian love. Happy WOYWW!

Hi Peggy! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful art with us again this week. I absolutely LOVE your beautiful garden area and I'm sure your family enjoys it quite often. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I didn't know that you and Patsy are sisters...I guess I never put the pieces together. It makes perfect sense, though, because you are both SO talented, SO sweet, and have a similar art style. God is SO GOOD to have brought so many wonderful artists into my life, and I PRAISE HIS PRECIOUS NAME for bring YOU into my life to share. GOD IS AWESOME. Thanks for stopping by.
Have a blessed week,
Karen
