And since the days before Christmas are getting less and less, I am getting ready to wrap Christmas presents. Brand new rolls of tape and little boxes...
and my box of little gifts I buy all throughout the year. There is stuff from countries like Thailand, Turkey, the Czech Republic, the U.S. and Greece in this box. Beside it is the daily devotional I use every day, The Word Among Us. The meditations help me remember what Christmas is really all about. And if you're looking for a meaningful way to celebrate Advent, there is a wonderful Jesse Tree Advent Family Devotional from A Holy Experience.
In the back, a tin box from Nuremberg, Germany that used to be filled with gingerbread cookies. It is from my son who worked in Frankfurt for 9 months and is now back home! The 3 L'Imperatrice Eau de Toilette at the back is also from him and it also came in a really nice box (my daughter told him, you could have given her just the boxes! Ha, ha, so true!)
And here is a pair of earrings I bought from my last trip. For those of you who tried to guess where I was, I was in Thailand! No, I didn't buy these to wear but to take apart for embellishing something (do you do that?)
Have you joined my giveaway? I'm giving away one of these paintings.
I'm joining What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. If you want to join, all you have to do is take a picture of your desk or just join in the fun of peeking at desks from around the world!

Well, where do I begin? Yes, I do buy ear rings to pull apart necklaces too; I collect tins and boxes like some mad old woman just because I do and I love collecting trinkets from my travels.
Your prizes are truly amazing, such talent in those paintings and what a lovely calendar too.

I love the earrings and although I do occasionally buy things to disassemble and use, I don't think I have the same 'eye' for stuff that you have!
What a great desk today and yes I am forever buying things to take apart the leaves on the earrings are lovely. The calendar looks great good job it's easy to change that would have been a mishap to remember now you can just laugh about it. I love the painting especially the one in purple with the disks it's so pretty. Have great Wednesday Laura
Great post - yes I always buy jewellery to take pieces and ink up! Thanks for sharing. Sunshine Girl – No 2
Un bureau toujours plein de choses... intéressantes...
Gros bisous
Gorgeous busy desk, full of anticipation for Christmas. Gorgeous artwork, as always! I love all the treasures you've bought from your holidays. I'm so glad I guessed right - it WAS Thailand!! I often buy old jewellery and cheap rubbish beads at village fetes and cut them up to use! In amongst the rubbish there are often some lovely bits and pieces, and little bits of chain and all sorts. It's fun rummaging for treasures! Happy WOYWW, Shoshi #56
Love the earrings, they are just me and your paintings are beautiful. But I do wish I had some space on my craft desk like you.
Wishing you a lovely crafty week.

~Wonderful pictures, esp the one of the woman in the leaves.
Love to see how all your preparations are coming on, I love to have lots of different boxes as well.
Beautiful pictures and you are so generous to give them away. I would never think about taking my jewellery apart for crafting, I love them all too much, but I am interested to see what you make of your new goodies.
