What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday: Travel "Pasalubongs"
We, Filipinos, have the tradition of bringing back gifts to give away when they travel. These gifts are called "pasalubong" ("salubong" means meeting someone coming from a trip). So on my "desk" today (which is actually a hotel side table) are some little zippered coin purses which I bought today as "pasalubongs." Can you guess where I am? Here's another clue...
I'll be linking up with all the other people showing off their desks in What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday (their desks usually have some great arts and crafts works in progress, unlike mine this week)!
Beautiful picture but I am am not going to guess... Love the zipper bags. My husband just got home from 3 weeks in China and brought me several silk scarves and a set of lavender fresh water pearls! Have a great week and thanks for sharing.
Wow I dont know where you are - I am guessing china - but it looks fabulous - thanks so much for sharing with us whilst on holiday! Have a great time. Thanks for sharing. Sunshine Girl – No 4
I am in awe of the photo. I have NO idea where you are, but it looks like either China or maybe Cambodia. Of course, I'm simply no good with geography. Happy WOYWW from #7.
mmmm looks like Thailand although I've never been. What a lovely thought your little pasalubongs - in England we have a tradition of when you give someone a purse you have to put a coin in it so it will never be empty (I think it has to be a silver coin). Enjoy your holiday x
Mmmmm... looks like Thailand to me too! What a lovely idea bringing back little gifts - beautiful little purses! Beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing this with us Peggy. Happy WOYWW, Shoshi #62
I am from the beautiful tropical country of the Philippines and I like to think I am sowing seeds around the world as I make my blog - seeds of faith, or hope or maybe, creativity. I am blessed to have a wonderful husband and three great children and I spend my work days designing paper products, gifts and decorative accessories for our family gift shops, Papemelroti.
