WOYWW: Celebrating 40 Years

Last week, the shocking news of WOYWWer Eliza Queenartoypia's sudden passing brought sadness all the way to the Philippines.  Although we never even met, she would sometimes drop by my blog and I would sometimes drop by hers.  That's the way it is in What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. You get to peek at desks and make blog friends around the world.

This year (this weekend to be exact) our prayer community, Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon is celebrating 40 years of God's faithfulness.  My daughter, Elyse designed the 40th year logo (with our community logo in the zero).

Every year we have a parade of banners.  This year, there will be 40 banners!  They gave me the words to put and asked me to design the banner and have it made.  Here it is, folded on my desk. No, I did not sew it.  I'm sure Annie would have done an excellent job of it! Here is the design I made.

God has blessed me greatly through our community and as I looked for a journal illustration to share today, this is what I found.  Indeed, how can I ever make a fair return to the Lord for all the good he has done for me?  Impossible.

Thank you for dropping by today!

Your sharp banner design is sure to make an impact during your prayer community's parade. I love the art journal page you made. The lettering and color scheme are fabulous, and I love your quote. May I use that quote in one of my art journals? Have a blessed week and happy WOYWW! #43

I like both pieces of work - your daughter's and your banner. I don't mean to miss out your page with the wonderful words on it because that is truly beautiful. But then, everything you do is beautiful.

Ohhh, Peggy it is so clever the flag design, and really love your verse artwork, we can never ever repay all the great goodness that the Lord has poured out upon us, freely giving us salvation through the blood shed for our sins, once for all, by His only Son, the Lord Jesus, truly we are rich indeed.
Thanks for being such a blessing with this post.
Happy WOYWW, thanks for popping over, Shaz in Oz.x #20

My goodness, what a lot of prayers have gone up over 40 years! That's amazing. I love what you have done, and also the beautiful journal page you have made. I couldn't agree more with the sentiment!!

Thank you for your lovely comment, and also for visiting my Gutless Bag Lady blog and that you found it interesting. I am glad you like my faux leather! I am making an exciting project with it at the moment but can't share it till the recipient has it. My treatment yesterday went OK but as usual I started to feel poorly while it was still being infused, and I felt very unwell all evening. Better today but last time I was better over the weekend and then terrible for the rest of the week, so we shall have to wait and see! I am half way through my treatment now, which is good news.

Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #39
