On my desk today is a Low-Carb cookbook I bought for the equivalent of £ 0.30 or $ 0.48 (has anyone tried this and does it work?), a WIP and a clearbook binder filled with letters I've collected honoring a friend who is celebrating his birthday soon. Here's a closer look at the mother and child I started.
I finally got to make my giveaway post and if you would like a chance to win one of these paintings, leave me a comment on my giveaway post (not on this WOYWW post).
For a peek at more desks or to show off your own, Julia has the WOYWW list!
40 blog hugs:
I absolutely adore your new WIP, it's very tender!

I still believe you create faces better than anyone I have ever seen. They are incredible. You should be teaching the classes instead of some of the artists who make those really artificial and doe eyed gals. Yours are truly realistic. Happy WOYWW from number 1 this week.
Love your mother and child.
A few years ago I followed the South Beach Diet which is low carb. It helped me with curb cravings so I think there's something to it. Unfortunately I've gone back to my old ways.....
Happy WOYWW

I love your WIP and all the other beautiful pieces. I just might have to submit my name for that giveaway if it is still going on. I can see any one of them in my craft room.
Thanks for sharing such amazing work.

Lovely WIP! The faces are done so beautifully and I love how soft this piece looks.
I actually have that cookbook! There are some really good recipes in there, one of our favs is one pot chicken.
And yes low carb does work if it's the "bad" carbs that are cut out, like sugar, white flour, white rice, etc. but your body needs good carbs.
I have tried this low carb diet before, but I couldn't stick to it! Better luck with you! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
awesome paintings! I went and commented for a chance to win! I tried the Adkins diet for a while and did pretty well the first couple weeks but got really tired and quit it at the doctors orders. Becareful lowering your carbs too low. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #66

Hi Peggy love your mother and child drawing. I'm following Slimming world just now which is isn't carb based but seems to be going well....it's cutting out the fat and lowering treat intake...BOO!
Good luck with the book and have a great Wednesday, hugs Erika. #107
I love your mother and child, beautiful!
I have cut out simple carbs before (processed food, including white pasta and bread), and kept complex carbs (fruit, potatoes, etc) and the weight dropped off me. I also felt much healthier. You need to eat carbs, they fuel your brain and muscles, but you don't need processed food. ;-)
Your art is lovely. Never tried the low carb. Let me know how you like it. #33
Hi Peggy. I love the Mother and child. It is going to be beautiful. Can't wait to see it when it is done.

Lovely workspace - your WIP is already very beautiful. Collecting letters honouring a friend is a lovely idea for a birthday. I have a condition that necessitates a low-carb, low-fat, low-sugar diet (not much fun, huh!) and it works - I'm told that carbohydrates convert to sugar and too much of that is just not good for anybody. Hope you get value from your book.
Hope you have a lovely weekend. Elizabeth x #90
This mother and child image is beautifully done...I like it as is!
Wow Peggy what fabulous paintings and what a fabulous workspace. TFS and Happy WOYWW from Annie your newest follower x
Ah Peggy, your art continues to make me smile and wonder..is it your colouring or your drawing skills that stay with me, I can't tell..it must be the fusion. As for low carbs..hmm, I don't eat bread but eat all other carbs, would miss them horribly!
Ah, your blog is like a little, sunny, mini-holiday for me every week. :)
Love your WIP. Beautiful.
