Here is my prayer desk early this morning for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday. I've been using some book paper and scrapbook paper for some of my prayer journal illustrations recently.
It's been a challenging time. My mother is still in the hospital and last Saturday, I received the heartbreaking news that a young friend of ours died. He was just 32 years old, confined in the hospital for chicken pox and ready to be discharged when he had a cardiac arrest. So hard to understand...
Specially during difficult times, we pray for eyes of faith. And come what may, in the end, may I be able to say (as the t-shirt they found on that young man's desk says), "I have run the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7. Sharing in Word Art Wednesday.
I see you and Patsy are taking turns staying with your mother. I am sorry to read she is still in the hospital. I'll keep her in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame about your friend. The inglorious mysteries of modern medicine, I fear.
I hope this week is better. Happy WOYWW from #1.
I'm sos sorry to hear your sad news....be comforted in the knowledge that God must have a good use for him.

Dear Peggy. How right when you say these things are so hard to understand! We can never understand them whilst here on earth - we know that we will go through difficulties and trials - Jesus told us that in John ch15. We have to keep looking to Him, in faith, like the tee shirt said - and one day we will either understand - or it won't matter 'cos we are with Him for eternity.
ReplyDeleteMay God grant you His peace as you struggle with these things, caring for your mum, mourning the loss of a friend, but endeavouring to stay close to His heart for you.
Love n hugs,
