WOYWW: Brunei

I have just returned from a trip to Brunei and for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, my desk has some of the things I bought there.  Brochures and maps...

Indonesian "sarongs"(a large tube or length of fabric, often wrapped around the waist and worn by men and women throughout much of South Asia,Southeast Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, the Horn of Africa", and on many Pacific islands)...

and a macro / fish eye / wide angle clip lens for my iPhone (I haven't tried it yet)...

Here are some photos I took while I was in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei (more on my Instagram account)...

A market vendor...

in a boat ride through the Kampong Ayer (water village)...

the water village...

the Jame'asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque...

the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque...

and the same mosque during the day...

For Word Art Wednesday, a verse about the olive tree, which"No matter what the conditions: hot, dry, cold, wet, rocky, sandy, the evergreen olive tree will live and produce fruit." Check out my sister Patsy's post about the olive tree!

Thank you for visiting me and leaving me your blog hugs.  I wasn't able to go visiting while I was traveling but I hope to do better this week!  Be blessed!

    Bienvenue !

  20. Your photographs are beautiful, and it's such a joy to get a peek into another part of the world...to see God's people and places. It reminds me that everyone needs to know the love of Jesus Christ our Savior. I pray for missions all around the world, and I know that each of us is a missionary in our own area and that we must share God's goodness with others. THanks for sharing your art in our challenge and for being such a blessing and encouragement.
Big hugs to you and prayers for God's blessings on you,
    Karen
