WOYWW: Holy Week

For today's desk, I have a 400th Anniversary Edition of the King James Version of the bible.  It is a digital reproduction of the original one printed in 1611 (except that on was huge - 12" x 16"). Although it is very hard to read, the decorative initials, illustrated genealogy and antique font are beautiful...

Since it is the Holy Week, my illustration is a prayer from Luke 18...

I wasn't able to go visiting last week since we had a family vacation (17 of us!) to Puerto Princesa, Palawan.  Here are a few pictures that I posted in my Instagram account (peggyapl)...

The highlight of our trip for me, dolphin watching...

Sharing this in What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday and Word Art Wednesday! Have a blessed Holy Week and a joyful Easter, everyone!

  1. What beautiful font. It's just a matter of getting into a rhythm and used to the style of font and writing! I've learned it does click! Thanks for sharing :)

  7. I bet you and Patsy are surprised by quite how much you needed a break and some togethere time. The pictures are just gorgeous, truly for a gal in this hemisphere, they are my impression of heaven. I've done the dolphin thing too - lucky me, a couple of times. Both times it reduced me to tears....and I cannot say why.

  11. What a beautiful Bible, Peggy, and how lovely to have a replica of the original. I notice in front of it on your desk is a little decorated box - I have almost the identical one, but it's rectangular, not square! So pretty. Your art piece for today is so beautiful, and very thoughtful. I love seeing the photos of where you have visited - especially the dolphins! What fun you must have had.

Happy WOYWW and a very happy day on Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

  14. Wow, that is a beautiful bible, but huge. You won't be carrying that one to church on Sunday, I wouldn't think. :-)

As always, I love your illustration of the scriptures. Beautiful and meaningful.

Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday and Happy Woyww,
