The year has flown by so, so quickly and now, it is Advent once again, a season we celebrate as a time of waiting and preparation for Christmas. Last Sunday was the First Sunday of Advent and we had a big "Catchfire" prayer rally. I designed the theme for the event and on my desk for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday is a ticket and t-shirt that I designed for the event.
Every Christmas, I plan to buy an Advent wreath but when Advent "suddenly" arrives and I haven't bought one yet, I turn to my makeshift one made out of a wooden/wire fruit bowl, a wreath and some candles. Turn the bowl over and voila...
my Advent wreath!
All year round my Advent project is displayed on our wall but every Advent, it has special meaning for me. It is made up of twenty five ATCs which have Advent symbols to make an Advent Calendar.
For me, Christmas is all about God's love and this verse from Romans 8:38 is one of my favorites.
Sharing this in Word Art Wednesday and Inspire Me Monday. Be blessed, dear blog friends!

You are a very creative lady. I do the same things with wreaths. I can't always afford some of the more beautiful ones, so why not make your own. Just as beautiful as store bought I'd say!

ReplyDeleteHi Peggy! Your art is always so beautiful, and your blog posts inspire and encourage me. You and Patsy have become such a blessing in my life, and I praise God for you both. God is so good to give us friends on this earth - even though I may never meet you while here on earth, to have the joy of knowing we will meet one day in Heaven is such a blessing. I prayed for your Mom this morning, and also for you. Thanks for stopping by to share your art with us, and have a very blessed week my friend.

Now that, dear Peggy, is a real, advent calendar. beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the advent calendar. Not sure how I made it this time, because I've had to reboot every time I came here (twice before now). And I can't get all the photos to open completely. Only half way on a couple. But I'm glad I made it, because you always have something fun and wonderful to share. Happy WOYWW from #6.

Your Advent painting is amazing. To think it's 25 ATCs and comes together so nicely is amazing.
