WOYWW: Drawing Men

It's been raining, raining, raining!  Aside from the fact that it's a holiday today, many streets have been flooded, and so we are staying home.  On my desk today for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday is an illustration from my prayer journal.  I am practicing drawing men using a vintage bible comic book...

My son recently came back from a trip to Japan and here are some of his "pasalubong", a Filipino tradition of bringing back a homecoming gift.

And I am in the process of putting paints into small jars for a friend of mine who was planning to buy some paints.  Since I have such big jars, I'm sharing some with her...

For Word Art Wednesday, a close up of my "practice drawing men" illustration with a verse that I claim for my family...

Last week, I offered an ATC in my blog post and the name of Anne of Copper Beech Crafts got picked.  Send me your address, Anne!

  2. That's nice of you to share your paints with your friend. I like the vibrant colors too. Wow I am really sad I didn't get to your desk last week, I peeked and see I missed out on the opportunity to win one of your lovely ATCs. So beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

    Have a blessed day!

  4. I, too, draw faces, and just two or three weeks ago I was thinking I need to draw some men. This is a great encouragement for me to branch out and "Try" the menfolk.

What a sweet son you have and how great for you to share your paints. The really good paints can get very expensive if you slosh paint on large canvases like I do.

I so enjoy your blog. Thank you.

Just makes me appreciate it more when I see beautiful pictures likes yours. Love the laughing cat too. Can't quite remember the significance but think it's cute anyway. Have a great week.

  18. Sharing is the best thing..I love doing it. Life is too short to hold onto stuff, don't you think? I hope your friend likes her paints.
And your drawings of the man are really good, you have caught a masculine but compassionate face. That's clever!
