GRATEFUL! This word was on my mind as I celebrated my birthday on December 24 and Christmas day. I am so grateful for blessings too many to count.
On my desk for WOYWW, the weekly show and tell link party I have joined all through out 2012, are Christmas and birthday presents that I have yet to put away. Here is a special pop-up birthday card from my son that I thought you would enjoy...
The year is coming to a close, and next Wednesday it will already be 2013! It's a good time to look back on this year's blessings and the challenges we have survived. I am grateful!
My dear blog friends and visitors, may the blessings of the Christmas season be yours all through out the coming year!
Merry Christmas, Peggy! And Happy Birthday - so wonderful! Enjoy!

Grateful indeed, there is so muc to be grateful for in my life. I love the card...if you deconstruct it , it probably wouldn't be too hard to replicate for someone with a lot more patience than I! The box of ink and nibs is beautiful...another direction for your artistic skills?

I'd forgotten it was Wednesday til I switched the computer on but of course I wouldn't miss out our fun for all the world even if life is pretty manic at ours today :-)
ReplyDeleteI've done the early prep that I can do for the party later[quiche, icing of buns, cooking of mini sausages etc] so there is just the last minute bits to go in the oven now. Now enjoying a quick bit of blog hopping and a coffee :-)
So glad to hear you had a wonderful birthday and Christmas day.

Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI can't help but notice that you got a glass nib pen... I just bought one with my birthday money and LOVE it! You'll have so much fun, it's just a novelty to write with it and I've done some cool drawings (you get either a very very fine line, or by leaning it on the side you get half-controlled thick lines of ink).
What a super card. Belated birthday greetings and a Happy Christmas and new Year. Anne x #54
ReplyDeleteOoh wasn't sure what the box of nibs were till I saw butterfly's comment...calligraphy ? Cool! Love the card. happy belated birthday and Happy New Year! Nan 44
