What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday: Image Transfers

We've been having non-stop heavy rains, rains, rains here in the Philippines, with rivers overflowing and flooding all over!  Fortunately, we live in a high place but so many of our friends have had to evacuate their homes.  We are praying for the rains to stop.

With no work because of the rains, I have had time to have a tidy up and work on my giveaway girls.  I  am planning to add some text, so I cut up some text (reversed and printed using a copier).

I'm going to use the direct image transfer method described in this video....

I received some wonderful ATCs from NydiaBJ and Kate, who asked to trade with me (for my Filipina in Terno series).  I haven't received addresses from some of you so I guess I have to resend my emails.

Check out other desks and join in the fun of WOYWW

  10. I don't like floods they are so devastating and can change landscapes (and lives). I hope everyone can stay safe.

Love your clean and tidy desk. The backward writing on the ATC is a nice touch, a bit of whimsy.

  11. I am praying that the floods recede and people can get back to their homes. Such upheaval is a terrible thing.

  15. I heard on the TV that you have more tropical storms to come. I pray you will remain safe, and you friends will not suffer more damage to their homes. It is a long time since we saw any proper rain, but I dare say we will get some in a few weeks time. We have another little heat-wave here so I am happy to stay in my room with all the fans on.
I hope your heat transfer works out. I did it once with a photo of all my boys in a row, and I forgot to reverse it first.. They just didn't look right!
I have blog candy on offer if you are interested.

  16. I hope the rain stops soon. Water does such damage; most people don't realize it. I was flooded after I bought my little condo - and I live in New Mexico on a mesa!

The ATCs you received look great.

Yesterday was my blog anniversary - candy will be announced soon. As part of my candy I'm offering something that I've made - the item with the most votes wins.
I apologize if you've already visited though - I'm trying to make it around to everyone and haven't checked in on my comments lately.....

    Happy WOYWW

  18. Sorry to hear about your weather. We are like you and live high up on the hill but I do feel pity for those whose homes are damaged by water.
You have some beautiful ATCs there. Lucky you!

  19. The weather seems to have gone weird everywhere! We had snow over here in South Africa for the first time since 1981!! VERY cold at the moment and praying for Spring to make a hasty comeback.
It is good weather to create though, so always something to be grateful for.
    Happy very belated WOYWW

  21. Awful to see the continuing floods in the Philippines, Peggy, but we are glad to hear that so far you are safe where you are. So much debris brought down, and so much destruction...

Beautiful ATCs! The swap has been fun, hasn't it! I shall soon be posting about all of mine.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
