I like adding a darker edge (with colored pencils) to frame the collage. Sometimes I also sand some parts with some fine sandpaper to give a more distressed look. Then, I finish the card off with a fixative spray. It looks so much more "finished" to me. Hope you like the cards!
You are so talented! Simply beauty!

ReplyDeleteYour ATC are awesome and thanks for giving me ideas to play with. I get stuck in a rut sometimes when I paper craft.

great ATC's , i don't make them myself as i struggle each time i try, so i admire anybody who makes lovely ones. you are quite right the coloured backgrounds make such a difference, really support the main image beautifully.
ReplyDeleteMy fave image is one in your side bar , the top one of mother and baby, did you draw that? what pencils do you use?

What a difference. They were really good before, but the hand touches really are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy, so cool to have you stop by from the Philippines! Thank you for your wonderful comment, good luck on the giveaway. Your work is just lovely, the girls are so beautiful. Take care, Riki
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these they really take on a more vintage feel. I must remember to try a little gold next time.
ReplyDeleteDear Peggy, these are soooo wonderful!! great vintage ATCs!!! I also want to thank you for your kind words and support these past weeks. I'm sorry to hear you also experienced such loss... And I know that, one cannot ever be fully prepared for loosing a loved one. Thankfully my cousin and her kids are doing well under the circumstances. She's told me she's felt the love and support sent to her and it's deeply appreciated.
ReplyDeleteHugs, thanks and blessings,
Linda
