WOYWW: Inspiration

Is it just me or are the days flying by so quickly for you, too?  Seems like it was just Wednesday and now it is time to post again for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday!  Here is some pretty paper packaging that I saved from a box of some Japanese sweets...

I will use it for collaging and for inspiration to draw some flowers.  More inspiration to be found in this new book I bought from a Filipino author, Abbey Sy...

and a journal illustration for Word Art Wednesday with some hand lettering inspired by the book...

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."

What a wonderful reminder from scripture! Thank you for dropping by, dear blog friends!  Be blessed!

I think even I would have thought of you and saved that paper! I am in awe of the way you see something that isn't necessarily in your style and use it to inspire you, it's lovely to see. And as for the lettering...swoon...I love that!

I save everything too. When my husband has a sort out he always says, with a grin, "do you want this for a card?". Your work is lovely. What beautiful lettering. Barb #27

Ah Peggy, lovely images in a beautifully done picture and verse....
........ what a great thing to share, I love Matthew 6 and the many riches in that passage, and we are to lay up treasures in heaven rather than down here. ..seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you.
Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #19

What lovely paper - so worth saving. My handwriting, which was once quite good, has deteriorated as I got older and more arthritic so I admire anyone who can produce such beautiful lettering. Have a good week. Elizabeth x #44

time really does seem to fly past now days. Love the paper. When I travel overseas I come home with a note book full of fun stuff to use in my crafting. It has been quite a while since I have participated in WOYWW but decided to this week even if I am a day late posting. Have a great week. Vickie #60
