WOYWW: Layers

Tuesday night's desk was uncharacteristically empty and there was nothing to show for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.  But it never stays empty for long and today there is a box of patterned papers for me to paste unto some blank prayer journal pages...

See how the pages eventually end up, with layers of paper and paint and pencils and pens.  My life is like this, made up of layers of experiences and relationships, joys and sorrows...

But like this journal page, what is important is how all these come together to make me who I am. Hopefully, I am growing in loving God and my neighbor, and in bringing Jesus into the world...

Also sharing my reflections in Word Art Wednesday,  and thank you Ramona, for featuring me in Inspire Me Monday!

Lovely pictures, Peggy, reminding us of our total dependence on Father God to make us the people he always planned for us to be.
Take care. God bless.

Love the wide view from last week, it's not 'you' in my mind's eye though! This layering of paper and paint to create your journal pages is a matter of fascination to me. As it becomes a substrate for your final art, I wonder if you even recognise the skill?

Beautiful and thought provoking - yes we seem to rush through life not looking where we are going or what is around us. It's good to pause and just be - live in the moment. Anita #WOYWW 49

I look forward every week to your page and see what you have created and what inspiration you convey. Today is no exception. Beautiful prayer journal. Amazing how those ordinary looking patterned papers are turned into something quite stunning. I suppose that is what God does with us, he turns us into something more like Him every day.
Thank you for letting me peep over your shoulder.
Have a good week,
a hug and God bless,

I wonder why your desk was tidy/empty for even half a day! I absolutely love that you don't reject any papers and use them to such effect. I think I've said before how amazing I find your discipline in simply turning the page and getting on with it...I. Just know I'd faff about in choosing and waste all the creativity time!
